"Deep Calls" is the story of a young woman working to get out of and heal from a life in prostitution. She journals her experiences, framing them as a fairy tale adventure as she is not yet ready to face certain events head-on. The play moves between the fairy tale journal entries and the interactions with the woman who runs the safe house in which she is staying, guiding her along in her real-life journey toward restoring her identity and sense of self-worth.

Deep Calls premiered on February 7, 2020 at the University of Idaho.
